Iran has sent a new 14-point proposal to the United States aimed at ending tensions and conflict between the two countries within 30 days. According to reports, the proposal asks the US to remove sanctions on Iran, end its naval blockade, withdraw military forces from the region, and stop all hostile actions. It also calls for an end to Israel’s military operations in Lebanon. The proposal was reported by Iran’s semi-official Nour News agency, which is linked to Iranian security groups. It was presented as a response to an earlier nine-point US plan. President Donald Trump had rejected an earlier Iranian proposal last week, but talks between both sides have continued. A fragile ceasefire that began three weeks ago is still holding for now. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also spoke with Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi, who has previously helped mediate talks between Iran and the United States.
