At least eight Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza over the past 24 hours, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry, in what are being described as violations of the current ceasefire.
The ministry reported that at least 29 others were wounded during the same period, highlighting continued instability despite the agreement meant to halt hostilities.
Since the conflict began on October 7, 2023, the total death toll in Gaza has risen to 72,344, with 172,242 people injured. Officials also noted that many victims are still trapped under rubble and remain uncounted.
Even after the ceasefire was agreed in October last year, violence has persisted. Reports indicate that 765 Palestinians have been killed and 2,140 wounded in Israeli attacks since then.
The ongoing incidents underscore the fragility of the ceasefire and the continuing humanitarian crisis in the region.
