Israel has accused two of its air force personnel of spying for Iran. According to reports, the soldiers were working as technicians and are now facing serious charges related to national security. The Israeli military, along with the Shin Bet intelligence agency and police, said the two men are accused of helping an enemy country and passing on important military information. One of them is charged with directly contacting an Iranian agent, while the other is accused of helping in making that contact. Officials said that during questioning, the soldiers claimed they had stopped communicating with Iranian handlers after refusing to perform tasks related to weapons. However, authorities believe they later tried to reconnect after communication was cut off. According to Israel’s defence ministry, one of the soldiers shared training materials about fighter jet systems. He is also accused of sending videos of military bases and sensitive locations to an Iranian agent. The case has raised serious concerns in Israel about security inside its military and the risks of foreign intelligence activities.
