The ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah is not fully stopping the fighting. In southern Lebanon, clashes are still happening.
Hezbollah is firing rockets towards Israeli troops in the south and sometimes across the border. They say this is because Israel is still breaking the ceasefire rules.
People in the city of Tyre say they can still hear explosions almost all the time. Israeli forces are carrying out attacks, demolishing buildings, and using artillery in areas they control, which they call a “forward defence line.”
The ceasefire has reduced major attacks, especially in Beirut and nearby areas, but it still allows Israeli operations in the south. Because of this, many people in southern Lebanon cannot return to their homes. Some areas are occupied by Israeli troops, while in others, civilians are not allowed to go back for safety reasons.
