Heavy Israeli strikes in western Gaza City created fear and chaos among Palestinians who had already fled fighting in other parts of Gaza.
The western area of Gaza City is packed with hundreds of thousands of displaced people who escaped earlier Israeli military operations in eastern Gaza. Many families are living in damaged buildings and temporary shelters.
Following the latest Israeli attack, panic quickly spread through the crowded neighborhoods as explosions were heard across the area.
According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, Israel has committed more than 2,400 ceasefire violations since the truce began. These include shootings, air strikes, and demolition operations across the Gaza Strip.
Residents say the humanitarian situation remains extremely severe despite being months into the ceasefire, with continued attacks causing fear, destruction, and instability.
