Iran Says U.S Sent New Proposals
Ghalibaf said American officials have been making different statements publicly while simultaneously sending proposals through an intermediary.
He said Iran is aware of the proposals but warned that Tehran will not accept what he described as attempts to delay negotiations or impose one-sided demands.
According to Ghalibaf, the United States must understand that Iran's approach to negotiations has changed.
Iran Says Actions Matter More Than Statements
Ghalibaf said Iran does not determine its national security or broader policy based on statements, interviews or social-media posts by American officials.
Instead, he said Tehran evaluates the actual behavior of the United States.
He argued that public rhetoric should not be used to create a false picture of the negotiations or Iran's position.
Strait of Hormuz Remains Closed
Ghalibaf said Iran's position regarding the Strait of Hormuz is clear.
He stated that the Strait “will not reopen” until Iran's seven conditions under the Islamabad Memorandum are fulfilled.
The Strait of Hormuz is a major international energy route, and restrictions on shipping through the waterway can have wider effects on oil and energy markets.
Iran Rejects Unilateral Demands
Ghalibaf said the period of what he described as “stalling for time” and imposing unilateral demands is over.
He indicated that any agreement would need to address Iran's stated conditions rather than being based solely on demands from the United States.
The remarks suggest that Tehran is maintaining a firm position while considering proposals delivered through intermediaries.
