Pezeshkian Says Iran Did Not Choose War

Pezeshkian added that if the current American government wishes to reach an agreement within the international legal framework, Iran is willing to do so.

"If not, before the elections or after the elections, what difference does it make for us?" he said.

Pezeshkian Discusses the Strait of Hormuz

Pezeshkian said Iran had not closed the Strait of Hormuz and that it was open.

He said Iran was attacked without what he described as legal justification or a framework.

"We had not closed the Strait of Hormuz. It was open. Without any legal justification or framework, they attacked us," Pezeshkian said.

Iran Says Its Money Is Blocked in China

Pezeshkian said one of Iran's problems is that its money in China is blocked.

He said Iran cannot even get its own money out of a country to which it has supplied goods, let alone use those funds to pay someone else in another part of the world.

Pezeshkian Addresses Protests

Pezeshkian said anyone who wishes to protest is fully entitled to do so.

He said the government had sat down and held dialogue with many protesters.

"Now, weaponizing protests, that's a whole different affair," Pezeshkian said.

He also accused the United States of seeking to instigate incidents inside Iran that could pave the way for the downfall of the system, society and government.

Pezeshkian Says Iran Will Continue Resisting

Pezeshkian said Iran will continue resisting until the very end.

He acknowledged that Iran has economic issues but said the country would go through any hardship and endure in order to remain.

"We will keep resisting until the very end," he said.

Pezeshkian also said Iran does not wish to continue the war and that America must choose whether it wants to end it.

Pezeshkian on Israel and the Conflict

Pezeshkian said Israel's actions had imposed the war on Iran.

He said Iran never sought war and does not seek war, adding that humans should resolve issues through dialogue rather than killing one another.

"But with the instigations conducted by Israel, they have imposed this war on us," Pezeshkian said.

Asked about Yemen, Pezeshkian said the Houthis are responsible for their own actions and do not take direction from Iran.

He said Iran has contacts with those resisting in the region based on the situations imposed on them.

"There is no systematic relationship," Pezeshkian said.

Iran Willing to Give Up 60% Enriched Uranium

Asked whether Iran would give up its 60% enriched uranium, Pezeshkian answered yes within the framework of international law and based on the Nonproliferation Treaty.

"Whatever we are supposed to adhere to, we will," he said.
