Iran has taken strict action by closing the Strait of Hormuz again, just one day after reopening it. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy said that no ships are allowed to pass through the waterway.
They warned that any vessel trying to move through the Strait of Hormuz will be considered helping the enemy and could be attacked. Iran says this step is in response to the United States blocking Iranian ships and ports, which they call illegal.
Iran’s parliament speaker also said that the country is fully in control of the strait and criticized the US decision, calling it a bad and careless move.
Earlier, Iran had opened the strait during a temporary ceasefire in the region, and some commercial ships passed through safely. But now, with rising tensions again, the situation has changed quickly.
This is a serious development because the Strait of Hormuz is one of the most important routes for global oil transport, and any disruption can affect the world economy.
