Iranian officials have issued fresh warnings amid rising tensions in the region. A military spokesperson said Iran’s enemies would face “new weapons” and “new methods of warfare” if the country is attacked again.
The spokesperson also warned that countries supporting US sanctions against Iran could face difficulties passing through the Strait of Hormuz, a key global oil route.
At the same time, a spokesman for Iran’s parliamentary security committee said Iran’s “restraint is over” and any attack on Iranian vessels would receive a strong and decisive response.
Inside Iran, many people continue to show support for the country during the crisis, but frustration is also growing because of rising prices and economic problems.
