According to Fyrim reports, Iran has sent its response to the US proposal through mediators but is keeping the details mostly secret.
Iran’s plan reportedly follows a 14-point proposal that suggests talks should happen in different phases. In the first phase, Tehran wants a complete end to the war with guarantees that fighting will not start again.
After that, Iran says discussions can move to the Strait of Hormuz and ways to manage security in the important waterway.
Iran also hinted at future talks about its nuclear programme and enriched uranium stockpile, which remain major issues between Tehran and Western countries.
However, Iranian officials say topics like the nuclear programme and missile programme are not part of the current negotiations right now.
