Pakistani analyst Yasir Masood says China sees Pakistan as a stabilising force during the Iran-US-Israel tensions. He explained that the Xi-Trump talks do not reduce Pakistan’s importance, but instead support its diplomatic role in the region.
Masood said Pakistan’s strong ties with Iran, Saudi Arabia, China and the United States make it valuable in helping lower tensions. He added that Pakistan can pass messages and support dialogue, but cannot control final decisions.
According to Masood, any agreement between Washington and Beijing to limit conflict in the Middle East could help Pakistan avoid regional instability and give it more diplomatic space.
He also warned that Pakistan must carefully manage its growing importance without putting too much pressure on itself.
Summary
A Pakistani analyst says talks between Xi Jinping and Donald Trump strengthen Pakistan’s role in reducing tensions in the Iran-US crisis. Pakistan is being viewed as an important regional player helping keep communication channels open.
