London is preparing for two major protests taking place today. One rally is being held to remember the Nakba in Palestine, while another is being led by far-right activist Tommy Robinson.
Police say tens of thousands of people could attend the events. Around 4,000 officers will be on duty, including hundreds brought in from other areas of the UK.
Authorities have warned that organisers and speakers could face legal action if they use the protests to spread hate speech or extremist messages. Police and prosecutors will also monitor banners, signs and chants shared online.
For the first time during a protest in London, live facial recognition technology will be used as part of the security operation.
