Tensions between Iran and the United States have increased again after Iran claimed it carried out a drone attack on Al Minhad Air Base in the UAE. Iranian state media said dozens of explosive drones were launched at areas where U.S. troops and helicopters are based. Iran said the attack was revenge for a U.S. strike on Larak Island, where several Iranian Revolutionary Guard members and civilians were reportedly killed. Al Minhad Air Base, located near Dubai, is an important military and logistics center used by foreign forces, including the United States. Iran described the operation as a warning that it would continue to respond to attacks on its territory and forces. However, the UAE rejected claims that the base was successfully hit and said its defense systems remain ready to deal with any threats. Earlier, the UAE also reported intercepting an Iranian drone over its territorial waters. The latest escalation began after U.S. forces struck Iranian missile launchers on Larak Island, saying they were preparing to place sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz, an important route for global oil shipments. Iran also claimed attacks on U.S.-linked bases in Jordan, while Jordan said it intercepted incoming missiles. The exchange of attacks has raised fears of a wider conflict in the Middle East and increased concerns about the safety of shipping and energy supplies in the Gulf region.
