What Happened?

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Russia launched around 2,100 drones against Ukraine this week.

He said Russia also used nearly 1,700 guided bombs and 78 missiles of different types.

According to Zelenskyy, many of the drones were jet-powered Shahed drones, which Russia is using to attack Ukrainian cities, businesses, and infrastructure.

Key Details

Zelenskyy said Russian attacks targeted:

* Energy facilities

* Railway infrastructure

* Businesses

* Residential buildings

* Gas stations

* Areas near the Polish-Ukrainian border

The city of Odesa was attacked by both missiles and drones. Recovery work is also continuing in several western regions after overnight strikes.

In Volyn, near the Polish border, Russian drones reportedly burned a train locomotive and damaged a gas station.

Zelenskyy’s Warning

Zelenskyy said Russia is trying to damage Ukraine’s economy and destroy people’s lives.

He argued that Ukrainian forces are fighting not only to defend their country but also to prevent the war from spreading further into Europe.

He called Russian attacks a common threat and said the aggression must be defeated in Ukraine.
