An international relations expert, Andrea Dressi, says the Trump administration is not united on how to deal with the war involving Iran. Dressi explained that the US government keeps changing its goals and strategies. He said this shows there is no clear plan. He also said that while the administration is trying to appear strong publicly, there are growing disagreements inside. There have also been reports of senior officials being removed from positions in the Pentagon and the Defense Department. According to Dressi, this situation suggests the war may have started due to poor planning or wrong calculations about its consequences. He added that the US now seems to be looking for a way to reduce tensions and find an “exit” from the conflict. Even though ceasefires are being extended and there is hope for diplomacy, Dressi warned that the situation is still very serious. He said the global economy is being affected, and there is still a risk of a larger war.
