Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, has arrived in Islamabad and held an important meeting with several top Pakistani officials.
According to officials, he met with key figures including the army chief, national security adviser, intelligence head, interior minister, and deputy foreign minister. This was the first round of discussions after his arrival.
More meetings are planned during his visit. He is also expected to meet Shehbaz Sharif and Ishaq Dar.
These talks are seen as part of wider diplomatic efforts. Pakistan hopes these discussions could help create a path for direct talks between Iran and the United States in the future.
